House Transcripts
It's like Clinic Duty for the transcribers
And So It Ends

Doc On Duty
The show, not the community. Clinic_duty shall remain right here (and if LiveJournal disappears we'll find another place to post the transcripts.) The words of the denizens of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital deserve to live on.

There have been almost 30 transcribers over the years. This is a good time to pick out a few for special thanks:

Taru (brynaea) for creating the original site for the transcripts

Beth (jackoweskla) & Jenna (hithluin) for picking up the reins and moving it here during the post-Season Two hiatus. They haven't been around for a while, but this community wouldn't exist without them.

Tammy (beckston), without whom I would have caved somewhere around the end of Season 6, is therefore responsible for the last two seasons getting posted.

The others (sorted by the number of episodes they did) are:
Rahul (rahulkudva)
Coby (cobbly)
Marion
Vicpei
Celebmir
Kat (spellingwitch)
Katrina (mystcphoenxcafe)
Sandra (blueflash2261) (who didn't actually transcribe but saved our collective sanity by teaching us, in Season 6, how to access the closed captioning on-line)
Max
Cathy
Fen
Heather
Jen
Justine (panda_chibi)
Kat_Aclysm
Mandalin
Prettyannamoon
Randamuko
Sadie (squirrelmaid13@yahoo.com)
Saki
Satchie

Betaing is an ongoing process. Feel free to join Notestaff, our proofreader extraordinaire, in posting the errors you find. The changes will make it into the transcripts - not immediately, but eventually.

You all did a great job. What a ton of work! I use it as a research tool, so I thank-you all from the bottom of my heart. I'm glad it'll stay archived. House is/was my favorite show of all time.

You are all so wonderful. Thank you for all of the work you've done! I refer to the transcripts regularly - they're such a joy to have, and I'm so glad they'll still be here even though the show has ended.

Thanks to all the transcribers! I often referred to an episode when trying to make a point in posts. Now that the series has ended, I'm planning on reading through every transcript (after I get through series 1-4 of Doctor Who). I think I get more out of reading than I do watching.

Thank you Poeia and everyone else. This is the most invaluable resource and the work that has gone into it is tremendous!

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to transcribe each episode. It's nice to be able to go back and look up certain lines or scenes.

Thanks for the thanks, Jane. It was a great opportunity to take a very different look at the show, at some point. I loved transcribing.

Thank you very much, all those who worked so hard on this invaluable resource. I'm so glad it will stay around to answer those pesky little queries.

So I stumbled over here yet again for fic research purposes, and just wanted to add my thanks for all the transcripts. I use them quite regularly and will continue to do so.

Thank you! These transcripts have been invaluable for writing both fic and Meta for a (once) great show. Thanks to everyone for the work involved.

Thanks a lot!

p.s. any chance for transcripting "House Special - Swan Song"?
2nd-Oct-2012 02:33 am (UTC)
I hadn't really considered it but I just went searching and downloaded the subtitles so… maybe. I have to find the time and be willing to spend the xxx hours on it. If I do it, it won't be soon.

Thank you so much for sharing scripts with us these years. I am working on my Ph.D. and appreciate all of the work you have done. Since the focus of my work is on "House," your transcripts have saved me untold hours of work. Many, many thanks!
Best,
Sheri P.
